About the Fund
The West Family Scholarship Fund is a specialized financial award designed to bridge the gap between creative passion and professional viability, supporting the next generation of leaders in the New York arts scene.
The scholarship targets students who are not only passionate about the creative process but also those interested in the structural backbone of the industry.
For those on stage or behind the scenes in performance and production. Actors, directors, dancers, stage managers, designers, and the technical artists who make live theatre possible.
For those pursuing careers in theatre design & technology, production, talent representation, or theatre administration. The people who build sustainable careers and sustainable institutions.
The award will be provided through Capital Repertory Theatre, part of the Proctors Collaborative, located at 251 North Pearl Street, Albany, NY 12207. The award amount will be up to $5,000 a year and will remain intact for 4 years if a B average is maintained throughout.
Engage a younger demographic and actively support the growth and awareness of the arts in our region.

Develop a path for career development and sustainable employment options for young people choosing the arts.
Deliver immediate, tangible support for community youth — not abstractly, but dollar-for-dollar, year after year.
